Lowell Holderness, 73 Funeral services for Lowell A. "Yankee" Holderness, 73, of Beckville, will be held at 10:00 am., Friday, April 23, 2004 at Jimerson Funeral Home Chapel in Carthage, Texas, with the Rev. Bruce Will officiating. Interment will be at Langley Cemetery. Mr. Holderness passed away Monday, April 19th at his home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Jimerson Funeral Home. Bom Lowell Aaron Holderness on May 21, 1930, in Iowa City, Iowa, he was the son of Edward Rodgers and Eva Mae Holderness. Mr. Holderness lived in Iowa City until he joined the US Air Force in 1949, serving during the Korean War. Mr. Holderness had lived in Beckville since 1972. Loving survivors include three sons - Dale Holderness of Granbury, Texas, Clifford Holderness of San Diego, CA and Lowell Holderness, Jr. of Brazoria, Texas;.two daughters, Teresa Sue Spinks of Weatherford, Texas and Tabatha Gomez of Tatum, Texas; three brothers including his twin brother - Leo Holderness of Riverton, Wyoming, Junior Rodgers of Wichita, Kansas and Joe Rodger of I lills, Iowa; two sisters - Mary Sue Sims of Iowa City, Iofva and Sandy Maher of West Branch, Iowa; thirteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and loving companion Marilyn BelL Family visitation will be from 6 - 7:30 p.m., Thursday, April 22, 2004 at the funeral home.
