- HOLDERNESS RITES PLANNED Funeral Services for . Iowa City Man, 70, . Set for Tomorrow Funeral services will he held at 10 a. m. tomorrow at the Oathout funeral chapel wjth the Rev. C-. G. Hart officiating for ArdlUus Hold-emess, 70, 831 Maggard street, who died at a local hospital Monday after a week's illness. ' Burial will be . at Millersburg, wherg graveside rites will be heklat noon. Mr. Holderness was born at Mil lersburg, Iowa, December 23, 1875. In 1899 he married Carrie M. Row and they lived in Millersburg until 1919, when they moved to Iowa City. .. While in Millersburg Mr. Holderness was a member of tbe Meth odist chucch. Surviving are - Ms wife: five dauehters. Mrs. Margaret Van Dee of Parnell, Mrs. Zelma Balnes of Lone Tree, and Mrs. Ona Darling, Mrfc-Huth Masks and Mrs. Eva Rodgers, all of Iowa City; five sons, Carl of Davenport Arthur of Artesia, Gallf., and Ernest, Virgil and Lester, all of Iowa City; three brothers, John and Manuel of Deep River, Iowa, and Aaron of Aurelia, Iowa; and 42 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Holderness was preceded In death by one son. Alvs, in 1919, and a daughter Mrs. Saraty Van Dee, in 1937. I
