Monday, December 10, 1984-Iowa City Press-Citizen- EMPHASIS 9A MARRIED, ENGAGED MR. AND MRS. KURT SMITH Tami Lynn Reynolds, 2030 Broadway and Kurt Alan Smith, West Branch, were married Nov. 30 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

Parents of the couple are Kay Reynolds, 2030 Broadway and Mr. and Mrs. James Smith, West Branch. The Rev. Richard Okumu officiated.

Brenda Reynolds, Iowa City, was her sister's maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Traci and Sherri Reynolds, Iowa City, also sisters of the bride. Jim Heick, West Branch, was best man. Groomsmen were Jay Smith, brother of the bridegroom, land Jeff Miller, West Branch. Ushers were Mike Reynolds, brother of the bride, and Tom Iowa City.

Tiffany McAtee, Iowa City, was the flower girl. A reception was held at Howard Johnson's. Mrs. Smith attended Kirkwood Community College and works for mart in Coralville. Her husband, a graduate of West Branch High School, works for Pioneer Seed Company in Durant.

The couple will live at 862 Boston Way, Coralville. Molly Alice Brown, Route 2, and John Martin Smith, Hiawatha, were married at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 1 at First Presbyterian Church. Parents of the couple are Richard and Marilyn Brown, Route 2, and Pearl Smith, Cedar Rapids.

The Rev. Jack Zerwas officiated. Gretchen Brinton, Iowa was maid of honor. Best man was Leonard Visser, Batavia, nephew of the bridegroom. Ushers were Mike Brown, Iowa City, cousin of the bride, and Dan Rickles, Cedar Rapids.

A reception was held in the church fellowship hall. Mrs. Smith, a graduate of Iowa City High School, works for Hands Jewelers in Cedar Rapids. Her husband works for J. J.

Grundy in Cedar Rapids. The couple will live in Hiawatha. Weddings, engagements Engagement and wedding forms are available at the Emphasis desk. Paula Jo Hlubek, Camanche, and William Andrew Steele, 625 Emerald will be married Dec. 28 at the Church of the Visitation, Camanche. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Paul J.

Hlubek, Camanche, and Mr. and Mrs. William E. Steele, Washington. Miss Hlubek, a graduate of Clinton Community College, is a senior in home economics education at the University of Iowa.

She works at the Ironmen Inn. Her husband has a degree in chemistry and mathematics from UI and is a senior in the UI College of Medi- cine. DvorakCullen PAULA HLUBEK WILLIAM STEELE Laura Dvorak, 1000 W. Benton and Joe Cullen, 933 River will be married at noon Dec. 22 at St.

Thomas More Church. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Philip Dvorak, Davenport, and Mrs. John Cullen, Dubuque.

Miss Dvorak, a graduate of the University of Iowa College of Nursing, is a registered nurse at University Hospital. Her fiance is a third year medical student at UI. Patch Kids Patch Cabbage Moore-Ham Dawn K. Moore and Ronald D. Ham, 66 Edgewater Drive, Coralville, were married at 4:30 p.m.

Saturday at Danforth Chapel. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth James Moore, 823 Edgewater Drive, Coralville, and Mr. and Mrs.

Marvin Ham, 1106 17th Coralville. Justice of the Peace Bruce Goddard officiated. Sarah Moore, Coralville, was her sister's maid of honor. Best man was Robert Potter, Tiffin. Mike Moore, Coralville, brother of the bride, was the usher.

A reception was held at the Iowa City American Legion. The couple graduated from West High School. Mrs. Ham works at Lantern Park Care Center in Coralville. Her husband works for Riggan Concrete.

The couple will live at 66 Edgewater Drive, Coralville. Dauber-Stull Lisa Lynn Dauber and Tim R. Stull, 630 Sunset will be married in August. Parents of the couple are Don Dauber, West Branch; Patricia Aubrecht, 751 Westwind Drive, and Mr. and Mrs.

James Stull, Belle Plaine. Miss Dauber, a graduate of Kirkwood Community College, works for Medical Associates. Her fiance, also a graduate of Kirkwood, works for the QuikTrip Corporation. ANNIVERSARY Walls Mr. and Mrs.

William Walls, Oxford, celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary Thursday. Walls and Ramona C. Heller were married Dec. 6, 1959, in the Little Brown Church in Nashua. They have four children: Rodney, Tiffin; Bill, Iowa City; Wendy and Jeff, at home.

Local Sunday hours Local Junior entrants win Both of Iowa City's entrants in the Iowa Junior Miss Scholarship Program held recently in Ottumwa were winners of awards and scholarships. Mina Weber, 1924 Kathlin Drive, was named first runner up in the competition. Weber, daughter of John and Pary Weber, received a $550 scholarship to the college of her choice. She plans to get a degree in fine arts. Solveig Nilsen, 2710 E.

Court was named Spirit of Junior Miss Miss scholarships by the other candidates and was fourth runner-up, winner of the scholastic award and the poise and appearance award. Nilsen, daughter of the Rev. Roy and Mary Nilsen, received a total of $1,050 in scholarships. She plans to become a minister. The Iowa Junior Miss Scholarship Program is for senior girls.
