Li Lucas St. Barbara J. Hotz and Vincent B. Wilson, 906 Harlocke were married at 2 p.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church.

Parents of the couple are Mrs. The Rev. William Russell officiated. Slutts of Iowa City was matron of Anthony Wilson, Iowa City, was his brother's best man. Ushers were Carl Stieglitz, cousin of the bride, and Dustin Yansky, both of Iowa City.

A reception was held in the church parish hall. Mrs. Wilson, a graduate of Iowa City High School, is a bookkeeper and cashier at mart. Her husband attended Regina High School. MELODY REINERT ERIC SCHWENKE Mr.

and Mrs. Robert D. Reinert of North English announce the engagement of their daughter, Melody LeAnn, to Eric Ray Schwenke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Schwenke, Sigourney.

The wedding will be 22 at United Methodist Church in North English. Miss Reinert, a graduate of English Valley High School and St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing in Cedar Rapids, works at University Hospital. Her fiance, a graduate of Keota High School, attended Kirkwood Community College and works for Central Soya in Washington. Hunt-Harris Oral and Josephine Hunt, rural Solon, announce the engagement of their daughter, Janet, to Raymond Harris Blue Springs, son of Cecil and Karen Clark of Hastings.

The wedding will be Aug. 18 at the home of the bride's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kessler, West Branch, announce the engagement of their daughter, Lisa Marie, to Dean Francis.

Hamer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hamer, also of West Branch. A fall wedding is planned. Miss Kesler attended Kirkwood Community College a and works at J.C.

Edberg, 1687 Broadway and Robert J. Diebold Ypsilanti, were married at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Danforth Chapel. Parents of the couple are Robert and Patricia Edberg, 1380 N. Dodge St.

Court, and Robert J. Diebold son of Robert and Margaret Diebold, Ypsilanti, Mich. The Rev. Sally Smith of United Ministries in Higher Education officiated. Matron of honor was the mother of the bride.

Best man was David Diebold, Ypsilanti, brother of the bridegroom. A reception was held at the Lark Supper Club. The bride, a graduate of University High School, attended the University of Iowa and is an administrative secretary at the University of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor. Diebold has a degree in engineering from Michigan State University and is plant manager at Jebco Manufacturing, Tecumseh, Mich. The couple will live in Ypsilanti.

Arts briefs Downtown window displays earn ribbons in Arts Fest Six downtown businesses have earned awards for window displays installed for this week's Downtown Arts Fest '84. The competition, judged by representatives of the city and the business and art communities, included two categories. Displays were required to be installed by store personnel. For windows featuring the work of a particular local artist, first place went to Things Things Things' display of Rich King's work, designed by Tom Kurth and James Dettner. Buc's display, designed by Roxanne Haldeman, earned second place, and Darrel Shirley's display at Penney's came in third.

For windows featuring the store's merchandise, first place went to the display at Somebody Goofed, designed by Cely Gonzalez and Jean Gilpin. Susan Wolverton's display at Stephen's Men's Wear came in second, and Dan Perkin's display at Lind's ArtWorld placed third. The window displays and prize ribbons will remain on view through Saturday. UI Theatres offers staged readings As part of "A Tennessee Williams Summer" at the University of Iowa, University Theatres will present a staged reading of "American Blues" at 7 p.m. Sunday in Mabie Theatre.

In this early collection of one-act plays, written between 1941 and 1948, Williams' subjects range from tragedy to fantasy to slice-of-life realism. Admission to the staged reading of "American Blues" is $2. Tickets may be purchased in advance from the Hancher Auditorium box office or at the door.
