and Mrs. Adolph Dohrmann of DeWitt. A reception and dance will be held at 7 p.m. Feb. 23 at the Gil Ballroom in Andover.

Miss Zahs is employed by the Preston Veterinarian Clinic. Her fiance Is a farmer. Irey- Kracht Susan Diann Irey of 547 Emerald St. and David Jordon Kracht of Bet-tendorf will be married June 9 at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs.

R. Don Irey of Riverdale. Kracht is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Arthur N.

Kracht of 629 Whiting Ave. Miss Irey is a senior in the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. Her fiance was graduated from UI and is employed at Commodity Trend Service in Davenport. Richard Lake of the Ash Street address and Mr. and Mrs. Rod Davies of Mount Vernon. A graduate of Iowa City High School, Miss Lake attended the University of Iowa and is a student at Kirkwood Community College. Her fiance will be graduated this spring from the UI School of Music.

DEBBIE YEGGY An Aug. 11 wedding at St. Mary's of the Assumption Catholic Church in Riverside is being planned by Debbie Yeggy and Tom Podaril. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs.

Richard Yeggy of Riverside and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Podaril of Columbus Junction. Miss Yeggy, a graduate of Highland High School, is a student in the School of Radiologic Technology at Mercy Hospital. Her fiance is a farmer.

Bradley Loomer of 815 Talwm Court. A May 26 wedding is planned. Miss Gray is a travel consultant. Her fiance is employed in construction. Both attended the University of Iowa.

Louvar-Westcott Mr. and Mrs. Otto Louvar of North liberty announce the engagement of their daughter, Nanci Lynn, to John Robert Westcott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Westcott of Bellevue, Neb.

The wedding will be June 23 at the Shueyville United Methodist Church. An additional reception will be held July 7 in Bellevue. Miss Louvar has a degree in early childhood education from the University of Northern Iowa and is an early childhood instructor for the Title I program in the Council Bluff3 schools. Her fiance was graduated from Southeast Community College, Milford, and owns and operates a body company in Bellevue. He also is chief of the Bellevue rescue squad and a member of the Bellevue Volunteer Fire Department.

Hays-Anderson Heidi Kay Hays and Leslie Wayne Anderson of St. Louis, were married Jan. 27 at the First Presbyterian Church in Gadsden, Ala. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs.

Charles Hayes of Gadsden, Eileen Anderson of Solon and the late Harold Anderson. The Rev. Robert Hornick officiated. The couple will be at home in Ball-win, Mo. Workshop on drinking "Reflections in a Glass," a three-hour evening workshop on drinking and its effects on personal relationships, will be offered Tuesday at the Kirkwood Community Education Center, 1816 Lower Muscatine Road.

The workshop will explore attitudes and values, signals of problem drinking, escape mechanisms and ways in which stress develops when drinking becomes a concern or an issue. Instructor will be Jane Rose, counselor at Kirkwood Community College. Interested persons may enroll by calling the Community Education Center. Christian Women's Club plans meeting "Queen of Hearts" will be the theme of the luncheon of the Christian Women's Club at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Carousel Inn. Guest speaker will be Muriel Owen of Cedar Rapids, whose topic will be "You Can Get There from Here." Owen has counselled women of all ages.

She is an artist, a wife and mother of two teenagers. Billie McLachlen will give the special feature, "Creating Silk Flowers." Special music will be provided by Dianne Shaw of the University of Northern Iowa, a soprano soloist. Reservations and cancellations are due by noon Monday with Nila Kelso. A nursery will be provided by appointment only with Mrs. Charles Freyermuth or Hazel Crow.

The event is open to all interested women. Financial planning workshop set A workshop on financial planning for women will be held Feb. 17 from 9 a.m. to noon in Room 124 at West High School. The workshop is sponsored by Kirkwood Commmunity College.

Subjects covered will include using money to make money, budgeting, the question of saving money during inflationary periods and investment on a small salary Instructor will be Barbara Wing, former adult education staff member at Kirkwood and an insurance agent specializing in life and health coverage. Interested persons may enroll by calling the Kirkwood Community Education Center. Qu esters Octagon Barn Chapter of Questers will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the home of Barbara Bronemann, 132 Westminster St. The program on R.S.

Prussia china will be given by Miriam Troyer. Roll call will be answered with campaign buttons. University Preschool University Preschool Parents' Council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the school, 212 Myrtle Ave. New officers will be introduced.

The meeting is open to all interested parents. Information about the preschool may be obtained from the registrar, Mrs. William Cook. West Side Club West Side Community Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Recreation Center.

Officers will be elected. The committee will be Joe Pohler and Myldred Strong. Anyone unable to attend is to call the officers by noon Monday. WRAC Jack Newton, apprenticeship representative for the Department of Labor, will discuss "Women in the Trades" during a brown bag luncheon at 12:10 p.m. Monday at the Women's Resource and Action Center, 130 N.

Madison St. The event is open to the public. Helen Lemme School Helen Lemme Parent-Teacher Association will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the school. William Kid-well of the Iowa City Police Department will discuss Iowa City's program to combat vandalism in the schools.

Parents from Robert Lucas School have been invited to attend the meeting. Public Welfare Department The Public Welfare Department of Iowa City Woman's Club will have a sewing workshop at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the club rooms at Odd Fellow Hall, 1839 St. The business meeting will begin at 11 a.m. Members are to bring a sack lunch for noon.

PEO chapters to observe founders' day Seven Iowa Chapters of PEO and the University PEO group will celebrate Founders' Day with a brunch at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Ironmen Inn. Theme of the event will be "Gifts of PEO." Irving Weber will give a slide presentation on Iowa City's PEO founders. Mrs. Donald Boenker, first vice president of the state chapter, will bring greetings from the state chapter and speak about gifts of PEO.

Honored will be new 50-year members of PEO: Mrs. Louis Zopf, Chapter Esther Dinges, Chapter KP; Mrs. G. H. Alderman and Mrs.

Marc Stewart, Chapter KQ. All other 50-year nmembers also will be recognized, including: Mrs. Otto Bowling, Mrs. R. J.
