COURTS Sioux Citian accused of thefts at motel A Sioux City man was arrested Wednesday for stealing items from the Cantebury Inn in Coralville while he worked there. Alfred L. Dunigan, 23, is charged in Johnson County District Court with three counts of second-degree burglary. He's accused of entering a Cantebury Inn motel room in May while people were sleeping there and taking $1,100 cash from a billfold. A second count charges him with taking color television sets from various rooms be tween August and December.

In the third count, Dunigan is accused of entering a room and taking a 14-karat gold necklace. All three complaints were signed Sept. 13. Dunigan was arrested on a warrant Wednesday. Bond was set at $2,500.

His preliminary hearing is Oct. 12. Cedar Rapids man acquitted of charge A Cedar Rapids man was ac- 3uitted of a charge of third-egree possession of stolen property Wednesday in Johnson County District Court. Robert E. Grafton II, 25, was being tried before Judge Sylvia Lewis Wednesday, who sustained a motion for acquittal.

Grafton was arrested June 13 and accused of taking a radar detector worth $295. Fined $132 Sept, 25 after pleading guilty to DEATHS John Fogarty, 63 John C. Fogarty, 63, of Iowa Falls died at home Saturday. Services were Wednesday at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Iowa Falls with Rev. John Tilp officiating.

irrangements were made through Surls Funeral Home of Iowa Falls. Mr. Fogarty was born June 21, 1927, in Elma, son of Michael and Alice Lenehan Fogarty. He married Bonnie Papach Feb. 10, 1949, in Elma.

He attended Elma I.C.A. School. He was a maintenance mechanic for Tones Inc. of Des Moines. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Charles of Iowa Falls and Steven of Coralville; two daughters, Laura Hartkopp and Susan Jones, both of Iowa Falls; a sister, Mary G.

Brophy of Cresco, and five grandchildren. His parents, a brother-in-law and nephew died earlier. Carol Herman, 47 Carol Ruppert Herman, 47, of San Jose, formerly of Iowa City and Red Oak, died Sunday in Clarkson Hospital, Omaha, after a short illness. Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Oakland Cemetery.

Arrangements are being made through Hoover-Valentine 'Funeral Home, Marengo. Mrs. Herman is survived by her husband, Keith of San Jose; a son, Brian of Cheyenne, her mother, Wilma Ruppert of Red Oak; a sister, Sherry (Mrs. Jerry) Havener of Red Oak; a stepbrother, Keith Ruppert of Tempe, and two grandchildren. Raymond Iivezey, 78 Services for Raymond S.

Liv-ezey will begin at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Powell Funeral Home in Wellman, with burial in the Wellman Cemetery. The Rev. Leonard Sjogren will officiate. Mr.

Livezey, 78, of Wellman died Wednesday at University Hospitals after an auto accident in Iowa City earlier that day. Visitation will begin after noon today. A general memorial fund has been established. He was born June 7, 1912, near Wellman, son of Charles and Maggie Fry Livezey. He married Helen McCreary Sept.

4, 1937, in Iowa City. He graduated from Wellman High School and lived most of his life in the area. He worked as a security guard in Anamosa, a paint contractor in Wellman and retired as a.
