Miss Isa- 1 i Young JudeansTo Initiate 3L Members Next Sunday Evening Initiation of three new-members Into the Young Judeans' club will take place next Sunday evening, according to plans made Sunday afternoon at a regular, meeting in the Agudas Achim synagogue. Dorothy Danovitz, Burton Rosenv berg and Meivln Gaser are being admitted to. the group. Marvin Chapman was elected vice-president, to fill the position of Martin Dicker, who is unable to continue membership in the club. 4 Officers of the club, which was organized last spring, are: Marian Glassman, president; Marvin Chapman, vice-president; Bertha Mason, secretary; and Naomi Braverman, treasurer.

This executive Committee will be in charge of the initiation. Not affiliated nationally, this group meets regularly every other Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock in the synagogue. Advisers are Mr. Oscar Whitcbook, Mr. David Danovitz and Mr.

Don Pedro and Band To Play For Women's Pan-Hellenic Dance 'Having Just completed a series of daily programs broadcast over station WBBM in Chicago, Don Pedro and his orchestra will come to Iowa City to play for the Women's Pan-Hellenic annual formal dance Saturday evening, from 9 to 12 o'clock in the main lounge of the memorial union. Actives, pledges, and alumnae members of sororities at the University of Iowa may attend the dance. Chaperons for the party will be the housemothers of all the social sororities. Meeting Wednesday With a special Invitation extended to new women of the church, the Methodist Episcopal Women's Home Missionary society will sponsor a social afternoon in the church parlors Wednesday at 2:30 o'clock. This is the fifth consecutive year that 70.000 Masons In Iowa have been called to meet on the same evening for the consideration of a program of Interest to the fraternity. The program this year is built on the theme "Work and the Working Tools." One of the features of the local lodge's meeting will be a talk by Prof. H.

J. Thornton on the subject. The meeting will be preceded by a dinner at-6 o'clock, honoring those members of the lodge who received their third degrees in March of any year.
