We, The Women By RUTH MIIXETT A husband and wife ought to give a little thought to the impression they make as a couple. The other day I heard a woman say, "Both Edith and Jim Brown, taken singly, are pleasant to have around. I like them both and yet when they are together they argue and wrangle ano De-little each other until everyone is uncomfortable, 7 "IT HAS BECOME such a habit with them.l don't think they even realize what they are doing. The real pity is, rm sure they love each other. Yet as a couple they are boring and lrri tating to have around." Have you ever wondered If you and your husband make an attractive couple? You undoubtedly do if you treat each other si courteously as you treat others, If each of you listens appre- W-J without butting in to offer cor rections.

If you laugh ateach other's stories or attempts at numor. If you present the besCpos-sible picture of your home life instead of telling all the dreary details of things that go wrong. IF YOU NEVER bicker or argue or make pointed, remarks at each other when you have an audience. If you obviously like and -admire each other and don't care who knows it If you are both adept at bringing out the best in each other, and occasionally give each otner a chance to shine in the spotlight. If neither of you tries to boss the other, or neither does all the talking 'for two of you.

If that sounds like a large order, remember this: You are both probably equally considerate of others: Ou Town Mrs. Frank Long, 315 South Dodge street and Mrs. George Hainan, 115 South Clinton street have returned frbm a visit with Mrs. Long's son and wife, Lieut and Mrs. Paul Long, at Monterey, Calif.
