Last fall a motor car was put on this division making a round trip daily. This did not have sufficient capacity so an engine and one car were put on and was well patronized during the past season. Speaking of the train's removal the Lone Tree Reporter says: "The Commercial clubs of Iowa City and Muscatine, as well as committees of representative citizens along the route of the discontinued service, should get busy and have the train put back on if possible."
